Senior Java and Big Data Developer
A global software company delivering systems which are highly available, scalable, distributed, and process data at web scale is looking for Senior Java and Big Data Developer.You will join a team and take the lead on some of our most exciting data engineering and analytics projects, lead them from the inception stage through research , development and all the way to production on the companyl's data processing infrastructure.
Job Requirements:
• B.Sc. in computer sciences/ mathematics or equivalent or IDF technological unit technology experience
• At least 3 years solid server-side on the JVM (scala – very significant advantage)
• Hands on experience with common open-source and technologies – at least two out of:
o Spring
o SQL, JDBC/ORM
o App servers / Servlet containers
o Maven/Git/Continuous integration
• Experience working with Big Data open source technologies such as
Hadoop / Spark / NoSQL databases- very significant advantage
• A passion for developing robust, scalable software systems
• Highly motivated, goal driven, Can-do approach
• Innovative, entrepreneurial, Team player, Ability to multi-task
• Curious and open minded
• Excellent English (written and verbal)
Advantage:
o Technology / Data geek – very significant advantage
o Experience in text mining/machine learning / algorithms – very significant advantage
o Experience BI/Data warehousing /ETL
o UI frameworks/full stack experience
o Experience working both in startups and in large companies
o Experience working in agile methodology
