Cortica is looking for Index Tech Lead @ Haifa
Cortica, a fast-growing start-up in the field of image-recognition is currently lookingfor a high-performance Tech Lead for the Index team. In this position you will be
responsible for building Cortica's visual Index and lead the development and
maintenance of Cortica's indexing solution.
You will be the technical lead for the design and architecture requirements related to
all Cortica products.
You will need to be involved with the end-to-end work, and to interface with algorithm
developers, application developers and product people. We are looking for someone
who will work quickly and efficiently to deliver for large scale production products.
Requirements:
Minimum B.Sc. \ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
or a related technical field.
Experience in Web Crawling and scrapers- Must.
3+ years of experience in Python/Java server side development.
Team leading experience is a must.
Full proficiency in HTML- Must.
Experience with NoSQL- Must.
Experience in design and development using Linux and Windows programming
skills.
Knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks (jQuery, prototypes, inframe
postMessage, CORS requests, DOM manipulation and object detection) -
Advantage.
Groovy experience- Advantage
Experience with Big Data tools (Cassandra\ Hadoop etc') - Big Advantage
Experience with setup of server environments (amazon/other)- Advantage
Excellent development methodologies, coding practices and understanding of
SW infrastructures.
Ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate business and product
requirements into technical solutions.
Fast learner and able to work both independently and as a team player.
